Cut and remove
end of existing
mailbox even
with the brick,
stone, or stucco.
After checking for
proper fit apply 100%
clear silicone to the back
of the mailbox doorframe
and structure then push
into opening.
After door has
been installed
tighten set
screws inside
the door frame.
Attention: There
are a few possible scenarios that will
either prevent you from installing the
door or make the installation of the door
more difficult.
This is the ideal structure for
installation. No additional prep work
other than what is outlined on previous
page.
These structures have
only one layer of brick
preventing a door from lying flat against
the
surfaces. This brick can be removed using
a 4"
side grinder with a masonry blade.
Materials are available at your local
hardware
store or building supply . The darkened
area of
the diagrams illustrates what is to be
cut away.
This arrangment of the bricks does
not allow the mailbox door to lie flat
against the surface. The mailbox door can
not be installed on this type of
structure.
